[German]Blog reader Steffen has contacted me by email because he is seeing issues and problem reports from users of Microsoft Outlook in connection with the scheduling wizard. It affects different versions of Outlook and he is wondering whether other readers can observe and confirm this. I'm wondering if it could be related to the updates for Office around March 12, 2024. Here is an overview of the problem.
Google plans to hold its developer conference Google I/O on May 14, 2024, as announced here. The agenda is still largely empty, but there will be over 100 sessions. Neowin.net writes here that Google I/O 2024 will largely be an online-only event. While there will be a "small live audience", most people will have to live stream the keynote as well as the other sessions and panels.
[English]Another brief information: Microsoft has announced the discontinuation of Visual Studio App Center this week. Furthermore, features such as Test Base (Azure) and TLS server authentication certificates with less than 2048 bits were classified as "deprecated" and discontinued for March 2024.

[German]Google is equipping its Chrome browser with enhanced protection within its "Safe Browsing" feature. This is intended to protect the user in real time from accessing malicious URLs and websites because the browser displays a clear warning. At the same time, Google promises to protect the user's privacy using a hash-based approach, as no direct URLs are transmitted to the Google servers. [German]Microsoft has released another update of the Edge (Chromium) browser to version 122.0.2365.92 in the stable channel on March 14, 2024. It is a security and maintenance update that fixes bugs ("Fixed various bugs and performance issues.). Vulnerabilities have also been closed (see). At deskmodder.de they point out a fourth vulnerability – probably patched in the Chromium browser.
Small addendum from the March 2024 patch day on March 12. On this occasion, Microsoft also released updates to .NET 8.0.3, .NET 7.0.17 and .NET 6.0.28, which are intended to eliminate vulnerabilities. [German]A quick note for administrators in corporate environments. Microsoft carries out so-called hardening measures for Windows (clients and servers) over longer periods of time. This involves hardening (securing) functions via Windows Update on certain key dates. Some of these hardening measures are also scheduled for 2024 and 2025. Microsoft has recently updated its corresponding schedule.
