[German]This week an administrator contacted me, reporting sudden connection issues with Microsoft 365 and Outlook apps. After I've published a German blog post about that observation, other German users confirmed these connection issues.
[German]Electronic locks from Saflock are used in many hotels and even in apartments. The doors secured in this way can be unlocked using RFID cards. Great thing? Unfortunately, security vulnerabilities mean that these electronic RFID locks can be picked using simple means. Millions of locks used in 13,000 hotels and apartments worldwide are affected.
[German]Google has released an update to the Google Chrome browser (branch 1232) in the Stable Channel on March 19, 2024. The Extended Stable Channel and the app for Android have also received an update. The updates fix bugs and close vulnerabilities. Here is an overview of these updates.

[German]I'm pulling it out separately in a blog post after several blog readers pointed it out to me. The March 2024 security update from March 12, 2024 for Windows Server causes a memory leak in LSASS (for all Windows Server variants), which then leads to performance problems on domain controllers (DC) after some time and may send them to digital nirvana. A little info that recently came to my attention. Microsoft seems to have informed some people that they have found a configuration problem in the Microsoft Cloud Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). [German]My understanding was that Microsoft wanted to integrate the Adobe Acrobat PDF engine into the Edge browser instead of its own renderer. I had even assumed that this was already the case. Now a reader informed me at the beginning of March 2024 that this integration had been postponed until summer 2024. [German]Broadcom President and CEO Hock Tan was still boasting to investors that the license conversion strategy at VMware would see new sales increases every quarter by the end of the year. Now it looks as if it is slowly dawning on those responsible at Broadcom that they have caused massive annoyance among VMware customers with their "crowbar policy" and that the "cash register ringing" by switching licensing to cloud and subscription solutions may not work out quite as well as the business leaders had planned. And a reader has pointed out licensing oddities at VMware to me.
