Windows: Black Screen after July 2023 updates KB5028166 and KB5028171

Workaround/Fix for Outlook issue: Appointments automatically become Teams meetings

[German]Another small addendum to a problem with Outlook. In the blog, I had picked up on the annoying behavior that Outlook appointments have automatically become Teams meetings for some time. At the weekend, I came across a workaround and a blog reader has now also pointed me to this solution (thanks for that). In addition, Microsoft has corrected the behavior with a Teams plugin update.

Edge 115.0.1901.200 and 114.0.1823.106 fixes vulnerabilities

Edge[German]Microsoft has updated the Edge browser to versions 115.0.1901.200 and 114.0.1823.106 as of August 7, 2023, July 17. In addition to fixing bugs and performance issues, Chrome vulnerabilities and Edge vulnerability CVE-2023-38157 have been fixed in both versions (thanks to 1ST1 for pointing this out).

Firefox 116.0.2 bug fix release

MozillaMozilla developers had released the versions 116.0.0 and then 116.0.1 of the Firefox browser. Now, on August 7, 2023, version 116.0.2 was added as a new bug fix update. The release notes says: Fixes an issue that was causing keystrokes to be scrambled for users using ZoneAlarm anti-keylogger. (via)
