WmiPrvSE.exe causes high CPU load due to Dell Alienware Command Center

Windows[German]I'm posting a finding here in the blog that I came across on the web earlier this year. A user was plagued by a high CPU load under Windows, which was ostensibly caused by the Windows process WmiPrvSE.exe. At the end of the day, it turned out that the Dell Alienware Command Center was responsible for the problem.

WSUS sync should work again – July 2025 issue fixed

WSUS has synchronization problems (July 9, 2025)

Update[German]Since July 9, 2025 (C.E.T.) German blog readers reporting, that their Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) are failing to sync with Microsoft's update servers. The endpoint from Microsoft isn't reachable and WSUS can't download the July 2025 security updates from Microsofts update server. Addendum: It's fixed.

Hyper-V vTPM certificates: VM export and migration

Windows[German]A TMP platform module (vTPM) is required for the virtualization of Windows 11 or Windows Server 2025. The Hyper-V virtualization platform included in Windows allows vTPN and other options to be configured. However, the problem is when such a VM is moved and the vTPM certificates break. ReFS file system: Fix for CPU/RAM utilization bug in Windows Server 2025 in August 2025?
