Microsoft has already updated its template files (Administrative Templates, ADMX/ADML files) for Microsoft Office 2016 and higher to version 5506.1000 on May 29, 2025. The template files contain the group policies for managing Microsoft Office.

A reader pointed out to me a couple days ago, that he had ordered refurbished Panasonic Toughpads FZ-G1(F) from Priceholes-com via eBay, but then discovered that they were infected with malware. [German]Microsoft released the preview update KB5060829 for Windows 11 24H2 on June 26, 2025. The update corrects errors, but causes trouble. For example, administrators suddenly find entries triggered by the Windows Firewall for Advanced Security in the Windows Event Viewer. Microsoft now states that these entries can be ignored.
[German]From September 30, 2025 Microsoft intends to discontinue the standard connectivity of outbound connections for VMs in Azure and switch to new methods.

[German]I have reported on Exchange Server SE several times in this blog. Microsoft has now generally released the Exchange Server Subscription Edition SE on July 1, 2025. The product will replace Exchange Server 2016 and Exchange Server 2019, both of which will be withdrawn from support on October 14, 2025. [German]There are reports that after a fresh installation of Windows 11 24H2, the printer entry "Microsoft Print to PDF" is missing and cannot be used. The required printer driver files seems to be missing. Has Microsoft made a mistake when creating the latest installation images for Windows 11 24H2? You have to use a workaround to be able to use the Microsoft PDF printer.
[German]There currently (June 30, 2025) seem to be an issue with Microsoft Teams running via terminal server on Windows Server environments. The Teams client no longer starts via remote desktop when it is to be run on Windows Server (2019 – 2022). Instead, the error dialog appears that the wlanapi.dll cannot be found. But there are workarounds.
