This affects vendors who want their drivers for network adapters listed in the Windows Server Catalog. Microsoft changes the rules for certification for an operating system from time to time. Microsoft Edge 105.0.1343.27 and 104.0.1293.81 fixes CVE-2022-3075

EdgeMicrosoft has updated the Edge browser to 105.0.1343.27 in the Stable Channel and 104.0.1293.8 in the Extended Stable Channel as of September 2, 2022. The update is intended to address the critical vulnerability CVE-2022-3075.

Samsung (USA) hacked in July 2022, user data leaked

Windows 10: Creating a Password Reset Disk won't show the wizzard

Windows[German]Strange bug in Windows 10 in the feature "Create password reset disk". A reader pointed out to me that nothing the wizard isn't displayed when he called that feature. I tried to reproduce the problem on my Windows 10 test system and encountered the same error. I've rehashed it and I'm curious to see if this affects other Windows 10 users.

[German]Since August 17, 2022, Microsoft Cloud users have been suffering from issues when using Microsoft 365 Apps. Users are unable to log in and receive errors. I had already reported in the German blog post Microsoft Cloud-Störungen 17. – 23. und 25. August 2022 about issues with Microsoft 365 desktop apps. Since mid August 2022 users are facing login issues with Microsoft 365 apps. Now there is the clue to the cause: A web account manager plugin that facilitates desktop application authentication in Azure is uninstalled on affected user devices as an unintended side effect of a scan by a Tenable security software.

Microsoft Edge 105.0.1343.25 (September 1, 2022) – fail to start after update

Edge[German]Microsoft has updated the Edge browser in the stable channel to version 105.0.1343.2 as of September 1, 2022. It is a new development branch that includes some new features for corporate customers, but most importantly fixes a vulnerability in Edge, as well as other Chromium base vulnerabilities. Thanks to the anonymous reader for pointing this out. Addendum: Some German readers reported, that Edge 105 can't start after update. A solution isn't known – only a trick to switch back to Edge 104. What a mess! Addendum2: Registry-Fix is available, Edge developers says, workaround is ok and fix will come next weet.

Yandex Go hacked, someone orders all cabs in Moscow to the square (Sept. 1, 2022)

The days hackers probably managed to hack the service Yandex Taxi. Then the attackers simply ordered all available cabs to a certain address in the center of Moscow. It is easy to imagine the traffic chaos that must have prevailed there.
