[German]On July 26, 2022, U.S. managed service provider NetStandard was arguably the victim of a successful cyberattack. The attack resulted in the company having to shut down its MyAppsAnywhere cloud services, consisting of hosted Dynamics GP, Exchange, Sharepoint and CRM services, to prevent further damage.
[German]Amazon is discontinuing its online storage and cloud service Amazon Drive for customers for 11 years. That's according to an email that affected Amazon customers must have received. However, the end is not until December 31, 2023.
[German]Intel once again makes a cut on July 27, 2022 and declares graphics drivers for graphic units of older CPUs as obsolete. On this date, all graphics drivers for GPUs of Intel processors of generations 6 to 10 will be removed from the regular update process. These graphics drivers should only receive security updates in case of serious vulnerabilities.
[German]The developers of Thunderbird have released another update of the email client on July 26, 2022. This should fix a number of bugs and is already the second bug fix update within a few days for the recently released 102 version.

[German]Microsoft will also release a feature update for Windows 10 to version 22H2 in the second half of 2022. Now, the update KB5015684 is available as a preview for Windows Insiders in the Release Preview Channel to unlock the new version on Windows 10 21H2. Microsoft is thus releasing the preview for enterprises to test. And there are speculations that Windows 10 22H2 could be released in late September 2022.
[German]Not only Cisco Webex is down, I have also received reports of disruptions from AWS for North America (see Cisco Webex has been down (July 28, 2022)). Microsoft's cloud services (Microsoft 365) also seem to have been affected. At least, I have corresponding disruption reports for North America, which have since been confirmed by Microsoft.
[German]Google has just pushed back its plan to block third-party cookies in its Chrome browser to Q3 2024. Actually, this step was supposed to be completed in 2022, but was then postponed to 2023 and will now only be implemented in 2024 at the earliest – if at all. [German]German blog reader Gerald just emailed me to let me know (thanks for that) that the Cisco Webex video conferencing service was down. I had a quick look, the disruption started at about 19:00 German time and lasted at about 22:00. The Webex Room Systems service is currently (22:41) still listed with a "Major Impact" and Cisco is also still listing a disruption with the Webex Clod Registered Device. So the disruption seems to be slowly subsiding.
[German]Does anyone use a Citrix ADC or Citrix Gateway in an enterprise environment? Vulnerability CVE-2022-27509 has been discovered in the products, which allows an attacker to create a specially crafted URL that redirects to a malicious website. Citrix has published a security advisory about this.
