Windows 10 22H2 (Build 19045) spotted

Windows[German]Microsoft has revealed (intentionally or unintentionally) at an optional update for Windows Insiders in the RP channel that there will be a further build 19045 for a Windows 10 22H2 after Windows 10 21H2. According to the nomenclature, this feature update must still appear in 2022 – my guess is this fall. And it's now clear that the only Windows 10 feature update for 2022 will be rolled out as a "minor update."

CISA warning about Log4Shell attacks on VMware Horizon systems (June 2022)

Sicherheit (Pexels, allgemeine Nutzung)[German]U.S. Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Agency (CISA) issued a strong warning as of June 24, 2022, that the Log4Shell vulnerability disclosed in December 2021 is being targeted by groups to attack unpatched VMware Horizon systems. In one confirmed case of compromise, these APT actors were able to move laterally in the network, gain access to a disaster recovery network, and collect and exfiltrate sensitive data.

Are the Windows VPN, RRAS, Wi-Fi hotspot issues fixed Windows with preview updates from June 23, 2022?

Windows[German]As of June 23, 2022, Microsoft has indeed released preview updates for Windows 10 V1809 /Windows Server 2019, Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022. Nothing is noted in the support article for these updates, but Microsoft states on the Windows Health status pages of various Windows versions that issues reported here on the blog (RDP, VPN, WLAN, Hotspot feature) have been fixed in the Hotspot part. Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25145 supports LAPS

Windows[German]Microsoft has released a new Windows 11 Insider Preview build 25145 in the Dev Channel as of June 22, 2022 – the announcement can be found on the Windows blog. This build includes some new features, including an update for Narrator Braille driver support, OneDrive storage warning and subscription management in Settings, and the Local Administrator Password (LAPS) solution. In addition, the issue of Surface Pro X devices displaying a black screen when they enter sleep mode has also been fixed.

Security researcher finds vulnerability in Jacuzzi "SMARTTUB®" portal

Phishing gang responsible for millions in losses busted up by Europol (June 21, 2022)

Europol has managed to dismantle a phishing gang responsible for millions in damages. The suspects sent emails and text messages with phishing links to fake banking websites. In an internationally coordinated operation, the fraudsters were arrested by police in Belgium and the Netherlands.
