[German]Adobe has released a security update for Adobe Acrobat (Reader) DC to version 21.005.20048 on June 8, 2021. The release notes include download addresses for the Windows and macOS installers, as well as notes on what bug has been fixed. Security bulletin APSB21-37 states that the update of the product should fix several critical and important vulnerabilities. Successful exploitation can lead to the execution of arbitrary code in the context of the current user. (via)

Ironside: Police trick criminals with ANOM Crypto-Devices and Messenger app

Will Windows 10 end on October 14, 2025? A bit …

Windows[German]Currently, some websites report that Microsoft will phase out Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. The whole thing has to do with the announced Windows event on June 24, 2021, where the "next Windows" is expected. However, it's not quite that simple, because you have to look very closely. Microsoft will drop Windows 10 Home, Pro, Workstation, Education and Enterprise from support in October 2025. At least until January 9, 2029, there will still be support for some Windows 10 LTSC systems. Here's a closer look at that fact.

Numerous articles on the web have already speculated that Windows 11 could be presented there. Now Microsoft itself seems to give hints about Windows 11 on its own website – or they are deliberately playing with the rumor mill to say "sorry, we don't have a Windows 11" on June 24 at 11:00 a.m. U.S. Eastern Standard Time.

Colonial Pipeline News: Hack by stolen VPN credential, FBI partially recovers ransom money

Siloscape malware targets Windows containers in Kubernetes clusters

Tenable reveals unpatched installer vulnerability in macOS

Sicherheit (Pexels, allgemeine Nutzung)[German]Security vendor Tenable has uncovered several security-related issues affecting macOS application installers at once. One of these problems is the possibility to bypass macOS' standard security mechanisms regarding signed application installers. These are actually supposed to prevent the execution of malicious scripts. Tenable also warned all application developers of a potential vulnerability to watch out for when creating installers for their applications. These vulnerabilities have not yet been fixed, Tenable said in a recent announcement.
