[German]Microsoft has just announced that Windows 10 version 1909 and version 2004 are ready for distribution via Windows Update. When a machine is updated, the feature update gets itself on the build in question.

[German]The Mozilla developers have released version 85.0.1 and 78.7.1 ESR of the Firefox browser on February 5, 2021. This is a security update that fixes vulnerabilities, but also aims to fix bugs.
[German]Google developers have updated the Chrome browser to version 88.0.4324.150 as of February 4, 2021 in the desktop version for Linux, macOS and Windows. This security update fixes a critical vulnerability in the older browser versions. Microsoft has also released Edge 88.0.705.62, which fixes seven vulnerabilities. And Internet Explorer also has a 0-day vulnerability. Addendum: An update to Edge 88.0.705.63 is available since Feb. 5, 2021.

[German]Once again revisiting an unpleasant issue. Automatic update installation is one of the mortgages placed on users of unmanaged Windows 10 systems. This includes .NET Framework preview updates being installed automatically.
On February 3, 2021, the developers have released WordPress version 5.6.1. It is a maintenance update that is supposed to fix 20 bugs (7 of them in the blog editor) of version 5.6. [German]On February 2, 2021 (first Tuesday of the month, Office Patchday), Microsoft released several non-security updates for versions of Microsoft Office that are still supported. Surprisingly, updates for Office 2010, which has already been unsupported since October 2020, are also included. Here's a brief overview.
