Windows 11 24H2/Server 2025: Microsoft fixes remote desktop freezes caused by Feb. 2025 update
[German]Users of Windows 11 24H2 and Windows Server 2025 have been plagued by problems with remote desktop connections for months. Microsoft has now announced that it has at least fixed the freezing of remote desktop connections as a result of the February 2025 security update for these operating systems.

Windows Server 2025: Microsoft has fixed BlueSceen and issues
[German]A bug in Windows Server 2025 known since October 2024, which led to Blue Screens, hanging systems or extremely slow restarts in certain constellations, was confirmed by Microsoft, and has been fixed in November 2024. But Microsoft has documented this fix "a bit later", on April 22, 2025.

April 2025 patch for Windows Symlink vulnerability CVE-2025-21204 tears new security issue
[German]On April 8/9, 2025, Microsoft rolled out numerous security updates for the supported Windows versions, which were also intended to close the symlink vulnerability CVE-2025-21204. This made waves due to the Inetpub folder being patched on all Windows systems. It is now known that the security updates have opened up a new vulnerability. Every local user can permanently prevent the update installation.

Windows 10/11: Preview Updates April 22 and 25, 2025
[German]Microsoft has released optional cumulative (preview) updates for Windows 10 22H2 (KB5055612) and Windows 11 22H2-23H2 (KB5055629) on April 22, 2025. Addendum: The optional cumulative (preview) update for Windows 11 23H2 (KB5055627) was released on April 25, 2025. These updates contain fixes that can be tested and are then generally rolled out as fixes in the following month. It should be noted that preview updates must be manually initiated for download and installation by default (although Windows 11 22H2 and later contains options for automatic installation).

Windows 11 Issues: BlueScreens and Update Fails (April 2025)
[German]Systems with Windows 11 seem to be becoming more and more of a "trouble maker" in some cases. Either the users are annoyed by BlueScreens. Or the computers cannot install updates and fall into a boot loop and can hardly be revived. I have received several reports about this over the last few days.
Windows NTLM vulnerability CVE-2025-24054 is being exploited
[German]On March 11, 2025, Microsoft also publicly documented and patched the vulnerability CVE-2025-24054 contained in Windows. The vulnerability enables NTLM spoofing, but was classified by Microsoft as "difficult to exploit". Last week, Checkpoint pointed out that cybercriminals are attacking systems via CVE-2025-24054.
