Parallels survey: 63 percent of SMEs are looking for a new VDI or DaaS solution

Parallels, active in the field of virtualization and end-user computing (EUC), recently published the results of its 2025 State of Cloud Computing Survey. The study reveals a significant shift in the EUC market, driven largely by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Faced with rising costs and increasing complexity of their existing virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), 63% of SMEs are actively looking for alternative VDI or DaaS (Desktop-as-a-Service) providers. Almost all SMEs surveyed (94%) plan to implement a new solution within the next 12 months.

Windows Server: Issues with Windows Hello issue and Kerberos events caused by April 2025 updates confirmed

Windows[German]The April 2025 security updates for Windows Server may cause problems with domain controllers so that Kerberos event IDs 45 and 21 are logged. Microsoft has confirmed this problem and writes that logging in with Windows Hello in Key Trust mode can fail. Private users are probably not affected by these problems, because they don't use Domain Controllers.
