[German]A small addendum from this week. A few days ago, I came across the news on X that the US company Oracle had been hacked. Oracle as a company denies a hack. But companies listed in the Oracle data captured by the hacker confirm that data used by them was found there. The hack, it is true, could affect many Oracle customers. Here's a rundown of what's known so far.
[German]A short note or addendum for users of Windows 11 24H2 who rely on Veeam Backup & Recovery. Rudi has already pointed out to me on March 22, 2025 that the restore functionality of Veeam backups via Veeam Recovery in Windows 11 no longer works. Windows updates from February 2025 seem to be to blame. Veeam has confirmed this and is working with Microsoft to resolve the issue.
[German]Microsoft has released optional cumulative (preview) updates for Windows 10 22H2 (KB5053643) and Windows 11 22H2-23H2 (KB5053657) on March 25, 2025. Addendum: The preview update KB5053656 for Windows 11 24H2 has been released on March 27, 2025. These updates contain corrections that can be tested and will then be generally rolled out as fixes in the following month. It should be noted that preview updates must be manually initiated for download and installation by default (although Windows 11 22H2 and later contains options for automatic installation).
