Sophos releases Sandboxie 5.31.4 for free
[German]Sophos, the owner of Sandboxie software, has just announced that the tool will be released for free. A license is no longer required – in version 5.31.4 all restrictions have been removed. The release as open source will follow. Here are some hints about this tool.

[German]Google has released a security update to Chrome 77.0.3865.75 on September 10, 2019. This update closes 52 vulnerabilities and contains further improvements and fixes.

Emotet C&C servers deliver new malware
[German]CERT-Bund informs that the cyber criminals behind the malware Emotet are currently rolling out new malware via their Command & Control servers (C&C servers). In addition, German city of Neustadt am Rübenberge has been infected by Emotet.

[German]In Windows 10 May 2019 Update (V1903) there are some bugs that people have noticed. Here are some findings that blog reader Reto F. have pointed out to me. Nothing serious, but unsightly.
Windows 10 V1903: Red screen tint bug caused by Update KB4512941 or Lenovo Vantage app?
[German]The cumulative update KB4512941 for Windows 10 Version 1903 released on August 30, 2019 seems to cause display issues for some users (e.g. screenshots). The display is turned to a colored reddish (red screen tint), as in night mode, if screenshots are obtained – or without screenshots on some systems. For Lenovo devices it could be the Vantage app, but also graphics drivers were mentioned. Here is an overview, what I know so far. Addendum: It's the Vantage app, Microsoft confirmed the issue and Lenovo has provided a support article (see inside).
Fake DHL mail with unknown keylogger attached
