Exchange Server 2019: 2025 H1 Cumulative Update (CU15) released

Exchange Logo[German]Microsoft has released the 2025 H1 Cumulative Update for Exchange Server 2019 on February 10, 2024. The CU15 is the last cumulative update for this Exchange version, which will then be withdrawn from support in October 2025. The CU15 contains all security changes that are included in the SU v2 from November 2024, as well as a correction for the known time zone problem in the SU from November 2024 (see also Microsoft Exchange Server Nov. Updates Re-Release (27. Nov. 2024)).

Law enforcement officials seize 8Base ransomware leak site (10.2.2025)

Windows 11 24H2: Fix for time zone change released

Windows[German]Back in November 2024, Microsoft had to admit that there was a bug in Windows 11 24H2. On the settings page, standard users cannot make any changes to the time zone in the settings page. This option is only offered to administrators. Microsoft has now fixed the problem.

Windows 11 24H2: WSUS issue – missing SNMP client (FOD install fails)

Windows[German]I'm picking up on a topic here in the blog that I've addressed a couple of days ago within my German blog. It likely causes problems for "enthusiastic" Windows 11 24H2 administrators who rely on the SNMP client (or other missing feature). The SNMP client is missing in this Windows 11 version and cannot be installed via Feature one Demand (FOD) because something is "broken", which interferes with administration via WSUS, for example. But now a kind of workaround is known.

Windows 11 24H2: Oct./Nov. 2024 patches prevent update installation

Windows[German]Microsoft continues to struggle with update issues for Windows 11 24H2. Security updates from October and November 2024 can cause an issue, that affected machines can no longer install subsequent updates if they were set up using USB media or CD/DVD drives with the corresponding installation images. However, Microsoft has now solved the problem.
