Groove Music: OneDrive streaming ends March 2019

Microsoft retires it's OneDrive music streaming in Groove Music app on March 31, 2019. Data stored in the Groove Music service will be deleted up to 30 days after that. Personal music files will continue to be available in OneDrive. Users can keep listening to their music using the OneDrive web player or by downloading the files and playing them in the Groove Music app. That has been announced on this FAQ page, where more details may be found.

Windows 10: Insider Preview 18358 (19H1) in Fast Ring

Microsoft has released on March 15, 2019 Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18358 in Fast Ring. The development branch 19H1 will probably end in April 2019 as Windows 10 V1903. The announcement was made within the Windows Blog. It's a bug fixe release with no new features, but still som unfixed issues.

Windows 10: Insider Preview 18356.1 (19H1) in Slow Ring

A few days ago Microsoft released the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18356 in Fast Ring (see Windows 10: Insider Preview 18356 in Fast Ring) and updated it to 18356.1 (see Windows 10: Insider Preview Builds 18351.8 / 18356.1).  As of March 15, 2019, Microsoft has released the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18356.1 also in the Slow Ring according to this addendum in the Windows Blog. There are no hints what has changed in this version compared to build 18356. I guess, it's the fix that's preventing Insider to be dropped out of the Preview program.

Millions of Gearbest’s user data are unprotected online

[German]The Chinese online shopping platform Gearbest has more than 199 million visitors per month and is probably well known to many users. Security researchers have found that the databases of Gearbest and a number of other online shops of the Chinese parent company are unprotected and may be reached from the internet. The Chinese gigant don't seem to be interested in evidence to improve security. Addendum: A statement from Gearbest is available. Windows 10: Insider Preview 18351.26 in Slow Ring

Microsoft has released another patch for Windows 10 Insider Previews Build 18351 in Slow Ring. This raises the build to 18351.26 and takes into account the way Microsoft packages cumulative updates. This was announced within the Windows Blog. The development branch 19H1 is expected to be released in April 2019 as Windows 10 V1903.

Windows 10 Microcode and Intel BIOS Updates (March 2019)

[German]Microsoft has updated a bunch of microcode updates various Windows 10 versions. However, the corresponding documentation is still missing. Intel has also released information about 17 vulnerabilities (for Q4 2018) in the Management Engine (ME) firmware that require BIOS updates.
