Windows 11 24H2: Installation fails on some ASUS devices

Windows[German]Owners of ASUS computers that appear to be formally compatible with Windows 11 24H2 will still not receive the feature upgrade. In the spirit of "the unexpected often happens", Microsoft has discovered that installation is failing on some devices from the manufacturer ASUS. Redmond has therefore set an upgrade blocker until the problem is resolved.

Windows 11 24H2: Apps no longer respond when using the camera

Anyone using the camera on a system with this operating system runs the risk of other apps no longer working. This can affect, for example, logging in using Windows Hello. A reader has informed me that reduced value reports from TÜV Rheinland and Dekra inspectors are freely available on the Internet. It is therefore very easy to see when which vehicle was returned with which defects at the end of the leasing contract. Includes vehicle data and also personal data of the assessor. I reported the matter to the relevant data protection authorities in August, but nothing happened, so I am now disclosing it.

Windows 11 24H2: Microsoft confirms wrong display in disk cleanup

Trouble with the new Outlook app: forced update and sluggish behavior?

[German]Quickly asked about the status of the switch to the new Outlook app. There is an indication that the last Windows 10 update from October 2024 will carry out a forced update. And there was feedback that the new Outlook app is behaving sluggishly over time (it's fixed now). Microsoft classified the new Outlook as "business-ready" a few weeks ago.

Windows 11 24H2: Recall can't be uninstalled; and "poor mans recall" found
