Windows Server 2012: Unofficial 0patch fix for MoW 0-day vulnerability

Windows[German]ACROS Security has developed a fix for a previously unknown 0-day vulnerability in the Mark of the Web security feature of Windows Server 2012 and Server 2012 R2. The fix is available to customers via a 0patch micro-patch and enables the affected installations to be secured.

Microsoft Exchange Server Nov. Updates Re-Release (27. Nov. 2024)

Exchange Logo[German]Microsoft has re-released the pulled security updates for Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 and 2019 on November 27. With the first release, it turned out that the transport rules no longer worked after the update installation. Microsoft now believes it has fixed the problems and is making the November 2024 security updates available again.

Deye deactivates solar inverters in USA, UK and Pakistan

Stop - Pixabay[German]This is a critical issue that I have come across recently and illustrates the risk of IT shutdowns by vendors/manufacturers or countries. The Chinese manufacturer Deye, also represented in German balcony power plants and solar system installations with inverters, has switched off such devices in the USA, Great Britain, Pakistan and several other countries as of November 15, 2024. The solar systems are dead!

Windows 11 24H2: Fix for Synaptics audio issue on HP Prodesk 600 G4

[German]If you own a business PC HP Prodesk 600 G4 with Windows 11 23H2, you could run into problems when upgrading to Windows 11 24H2. The sound from the Synaptics audio unit is missing after the upgrade because the driver provided by HP causes problems. However, blog reader Markus Grosche sent me a workaround by e-mail and in the discussion area, with which you can "get sound again" (thanks for that).

Windows 11 24H2: Problems with USB scanners that use eSCL

Windows 10 support end: More users are getting nag screens
