[German]Copying large files under Windows 11 22H2 can lead to a serious speed drop. The issue was described by users and individual Microsoft employees and confirmed by Redmond. Microsoft has already included a fix in a new Insider Preview from November 28, 2022, and wants to roll it out soon (as soon as it is verified by insiders), probably on December patchday.

File copy performance issues
Windows 11 22H2, released in September 2022, experiences issues when copying large files between remote instances and local disks. There are simply performance issues when copying. Already at the beginning of October 2022, Ned Payle pointed out this problem in the Techcommunity article Slower SMB read performance for large files in 22H2. According to the article, file operations that are transferred via the SMB network protocol are affected.
According to Ned Pyle, the bug is located in the Windows 11 kernel version 22H2. The reason for the bug is the preview update KB5017389 from September 30, 2022, which is supposed to fix numerous bugs (see Windows 11: Preview-Update KB5017389 (Sept. 30, 2022)). Microsoft has confirmed the issue in the Know Issues section of the support article:
Copying large multiple gigabyte (GB) files might take longer than expected to finish on Windows 11, version 22H2. You are more likely to experience this issue copying files to Windows 11, version 22H2 from a network share via Server Message Block (SMB) but local file copy might also be affected. Windows devices used by consumers in their home or small offices are not likely to be affected by this issue.
A fix is comming
I had reported about the bug in the blog post Windows 11 22H2: Microsoft confirms performance issues when copying files. Microsoft has proposed a workaround using robocopy and xcopy on command prompt window. Now blog reader EP has left this comment (thanks), point out, that Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25252 has a fix.
Fixed an issue where network-to-local copying (for example, when copying a file from a network share) was slower than expected from some users.
Ned Pyle included an update regarding this in the Techcommunity post Slower SMB read performance for large files in 22H2 as of November 28, 2022.
Fix update 11/28/2022: The preview fix for this issue is now available in Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25252. The final fix for Windows 11 22H2 production computer will come in a normal monthly Cumulative Update through Windows Update once validated in Insider builds.
So there is a good chance that this bug will be fixed with the December 2022 updates on 12/13/2022. Was anyone affected by this bug?

"So there is a good chance that this bug will be fixed with the December 2022 updates on 12/13/2022. "
nope.
not fixed, even with the newly released KB5021255 update for Win11 22H2 released patch Tuesday Dec. 13. copy performance problem still remains.
guess 22H2 users will have to wait until sometime in 2023 for the bug fix.
this is not fixed at all
not true anymore, anon.
it WAS fixed since the KB5022913 Win11 22H2 update as MS stated in late February 2023:
https://support.microsoft.com/help/5022913
"This update addresses a known issue that affects the copying of large multiple gigabyte (GB) files from a network to a local drive. Copying is slower than expected for some users. You are more likely to experience this issue when you copy files from a network share using Server Message Block (SMB). However, the issue might also affect local file copying."
