Windows 11 network traffic generates twice as much CPU load as Windows 10

Windows[German]Within the blog post Windows 11: Optimize network transfer performance and CPU load – part 2 I mentioned, the the exploit protection implemented in Windows 11 may causes a hight CPU load. But there is more,  also Windows 11 Phishing protection is responsible for doubling the CPU load during TCP network traffic.

Windows 11: Optimize network transfer performance and CPU load – part 2

Windows[German]Windows 11 has a problem with network throughput when receiving files. In part 1, I had presented some measurements that a blog reader had taken during tests to analyze the weakening network throughput and the high CPU load under Windows 11. After various researches and probably also contact with Microsoft, the cause is now clear. The security features that Microsoft's developers have built into Windows 11 (and Server 2019/2022) are responsible. Fortunately, however, this can be configured or optimized (which may also become relevant for Windows Server 2019/2022).

Windows 10/11: Poor network transfer performance, high Windows 11 CPU load – Part 1

Windows[German]When transferring data over a network, Windows has an amazing but unattractive effect. If you copy data between machines with Windows 10 and Windows 11, Windows 11 consumes 2 to 3 times more CPU power than Windows 10. In addition, the data transfer performance of a TCP/IP connection depends on the direction of the data transfer. Or in short, in Windows 11, there is a significant performance problem in network transfer when data is received. A blog reader has done various experiments and left the results to me. In Part 1, I prepare the topic and outline what came out of the measurements.

SMS phishing attack possible after UPS privacy incident (2023)

Sicherheit (Pexels, allgemeine Nutzung)[German]U.S. company United Parcel Service, better known under the abbreviation UPS, has experienced a data protection incident in which customer information was leaked. During package tracking, third parties were able to view more data about a package recipient than desired. As a result, customers are now falling victim to phishing text messages.
