[German]The daily Edge update give us today. Yesterday I had published the blog post Edge: 111.0.1661.51; 110.0.1587.78; and 109.0.1518.95 (for Server 2012 R2); disable Bing button and PDF test. A couple of howrs later, Microsoft is pushing the update to version 111.0.1661.54 for the browser on March 24, 2023. Now the sidebar of the discover button (Bing button) can be disabled.
[German]Microsoft has updated the Edge browser to version 111.0.1661.51 on March 21, 2023 in the Stable Channel, and there is version 110.0.1587.78 in the Extended Stable Channel. In addition, there is probably a version 109.0.1518.95 that should run on Windows Server 2012 R2. I'll summarize this in a collective post and also have two tips on how to hide the annoying Bing button in Edge 111 as well as how to stop the Adobe PDF integration ads.
[German]A German blog reader contacted me the other day because he noticed a very crude effect under Windows 10 and Windows 11 in his enterprise environment. The user logon to the user account sometimes takes a very long time, namely when employees switch from the company network to the home office and want to log on there with the notebooks. I'll post this case here in the blog – maybe someone from the readership knows something about it or has an idea why the described effect occurs.
[German]Brief addendum to the March 2023 patchday. Microsoft did provide the critical RCE vulnerability CVE-2023-23397 in Outlook with a security update on March 14, 2023. But the patch is incomplete, the attack can still be triggered with somewhat modified emails. And in the meantime, a proof of concept is public, demonstrating how the vulnerability is exploited.
[German]Small addendum from Tuesday, because Microsoft has released other updates for March 21, 2023, in addition to various updates for Windows 10 (see Windows 10: Preview Update KB5023773 and OOBE Update KB5025801 (March 21, 2023)). There is Setup Dynamic Update KB5023847 for Windows 10, and both OOBE updates KB5025799 and KB5025800 for Windows 11 have also been released on this date.

[German]Mozilla's developer have released versions 111.0.1 of the Firefox browser on March 21, 2023. The new version is a maintenance update, which is supposed to fix bugs.
[German]Microsoft has released two updates for the currently supported Windows 10 versions on March 21, 2023. Once there is the optional Windows 10 preview update KB5023773 (C-Week). In addition, Microsoft has released an OOBE update KB5025801 for Windows 10. Below I summarize the relevant information.
[German]I had already reported on issues with Windows Defender on Microsoft Windows 11. Affected people reported a defender warning "Local Security Authority protection is disabled". However, the LSA protection could not be enabled. The bug has been hit Windows 11 users for several weeks, and Microsoft has now confirmed the issue.
