[German]Small addendum from this week about a bug on a mainboard from MSI. A bug in the BIOS/UEFI of various board models prevents Secure Boot from being used – even if the BIOS setting is set to On. The Polish student Dawid Potocki recently came across this bug. Users have to change the default BIOS/UEFI setting in order for Secure Boot to work correctly and actually meet Microsoft's requirements for Windows 11.

[German]A little information for our readers regarding Windows 10: It was become public this week that Microsoft will stop selling Windows 10 licenses on January 31, 2023, to consumers within it's own online shops. [German]Just an addendum and a reminder to January 2023 Patchday for Windows. There is a vulnerability (CVE-2022-41099) in the WinRE environment of Windows 10 that allows Bitlocker encryption bypass. To fix it, the clients' Win RE environment must be manually updated. The issue, which has been known since November 2022, was addressed again by Microsoft in January 2023.
