[German]In this post I would like to put online a small collection of problems or inconsistencies around Microsoft Office. The problems have come to my attention through the readership in the last few days. Possibly they are isolated cases, but there could be others affected.
[German]Small addendum from this week: Microsoft has released the dynamic update KB5022370 for Windows 11 21H2 on January 19, 2023. The goal of this update is to improve setup errors and the installation process. Dynamic update KB5022370 replaces version KB5020379, which was released on November 15, 2022. Here is a brief overview of what there is to know.
[German]Microsoft is interested in the opinion of Exchange administrators and wants to know in a survey what their opinion is with regard to improving the update situation via CUs for on-premises installations. For this purpose, Redmond has set up an online survey in which Exchange administrators can answer a question.
[German]Small addendum from this week about a bug on a mainboard from MSI. A bug in the BIOS/UEFI of various board models prevents Secure Boot from being used – even if the BIOS setting is set to On. The Polish student Dawid Potocki recently came across this bug. Users have to change the default BIOS/UEFI setting in order for Secure Boot to work correctly and actually meet Microsoft's requirements for Windows 11.
[German]Microsoft has released the optional cumulative (preview) update KB5019274 for Windows 11 version 21H2 on 19 January 2023. There are a number of new features and above all a long list of bug fixes. Below I give an overview of these updates for Windows 11.

[German]Microsoft has released an optional cumulative (preview) update KB5019275 on 18 January 2023 (C-Week). This is intended to eliminate numerous bugs in Windows 10 21H2-21H2. Below I provide an overview regarding these updates for Windows 10. After March 2023 Microsoft won't release preview updates for older Windows 10 builds.
[German]The developers of Thunderbird have released on 19, January 2023 another update of the e-mail client to version 102.7.0 . It is a bug-fix update that is supposed to fix some issues. The client is not supposed to update automatically because of conflicts with Microsoft 365 business accounts.
[German]Microsoft has released the Edge browser to the stable channel at version 109.0.1518.61 on January 19, 2023. One vulnerability is fixed. Feedback from readers confirms that the umlaut printing issue has been fixed too. It is unclear whether the autocreating of desktop shortcuts for PWAs and Application Guard crashes have been fixed – perhaps readers can add to this. Addendum: Fix for PWA linking problem.
[German]Microsoft has released an update for Microsoft Office 2007 – 2013 on January 17, 2023. The goal of this update is to track down users who are still using these Office versions. Thanks to the user for the short notice.
[German]A little information for our readers regarding Windows 10: It was become public this week that Microsoft will stop selling Windows 10 licenses on January 31, 2023, to consumers within it's own online shops. There is a notification in Microsofts online store, where licenses can be purchased, that the offer will end on January 31, 2023. Here are some information and thoughts on the subject.
