US President Biden signs Executive Order for "Privacy Shield 2.0" data protection agreement

Sicherheit (Pexels, allgemeine Nutzung)[German]On October 7, 2022, U.S. President Joe Biden launched the new data protection agreement with the European Union, referred to here as "Privacy Shield 2.0," by means of an Executive Order (E.O.). This is intended to clear the legal way for data exchange between the EU and US providers. The data protection organization noyb around Max Schrems expects that this new agreement will also fail before the European Court of Justice (ECJ).

Meta finds over 400 mobile apps stealing Facebook credentials in 2022

The problem could affect 1 million Facebook users who have installed the apps in question on Android or iOS.

Windows 11 22H2: Microsoft investigates RDP issues

Windows[German]Microsoft now seems to be internally investigating problems with remote desktop systems that occurred after various users switched to Windows 11 version 22H2. However, the company has not yet decided to make an official statement. Anyway, another paragraph can be added to the never-ending topic of RDP problems with Windows. Windows 11 22H2: Provisioning packages may not work as expected

Windows[German]Microsoft had released the next rollout phase for the feature update to Windows 11 version 22H2 (as Windows 11 2022 Update). The stuff is to be distributed more broadly. Then on October 5, 2022, Microsoft followed up with a warning for administrators in the enterprise environment that the announced that provisioning packages may not work as expected.
