[German]With the cumulative Windows updates for March 2021, Microsoft caused absolute chaos and many users got into serious trouble. In the meantime, it looks like the second fix update for Windows 10 has also been stopped – in my opinion, it has not been withdrawn.

Windows 10: Out-of-band Update for graphics printing bug (March 18, 2021)

Microsoft Defender automatically mitigates CVE-2021-26855 on Exchange Server

[German]Microsoft is taking the next step in securing on-premises Exchange installations. Microsoft Defender not only detects infections of a system as a result of the ProxyLogon vulnerabilities. The virus scanner can also automatically detect a vulnerable system and closes the CVE-2021-26855 vulnerability on Exchange Server.

Patching and securing is progressing slowly. Microsoft's testing scripts should be kept up to date or tests will fail. And there are new Indicator of Compromise (IoC) for attacks on Exchange Server.

Adobe Reader 21.001.20145 causes 32BitMAPIBroker.exe crash

[German]There are reports, that Adobe Reader 21.001.20145, which was updated a few days ago, has a problem on Windows. The 32BitMAPIBroker.exe crashes in conjunction with Outlook 2013 when the application is closed. This is an old error, that has appeared on some older versions.

Security update for Exchange Server 2013 SP1; CUs for Exchange 2019 and 2016 (03/16/2021)

[German]Microsoft released a security advisory to revise its outdated updates for older CUs for on-premises Microsoft Exchange Servers (which have already fallen out of support). Specifically, Microsoft has released a security update for the out-of-support Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 Service Pack 1. Addendum: In addition, CU 9 for Exchange Server 2019 and CU 20 for Exchange Server 2016 have been released.
