Edge 86.0.622.61 released

Edge[German]A short addendum (the information has passed me by because I looked in the wrong corner of the Microsoft universe, ADV200002 showed the old status from the end of October for a long time and currently reports nothing at all, only navigation elements). Already on November 2, 2020 Microsoft has updated the Chromium-based Edge Browser to version 86.0.622.61. This is a maintenance update that fixes performance problems and bugs. Unfortunately, Microsoft does not disclose any details, so I am currently unable to state whether the vulnerabilities described by me on November 2, 2020 in the blog post Critical security update to Google Chrome 86.0.4240.183 have been fixed.

Bitcoin Wallet hacked? 1 Billion US $ withdrawn

[German]Has a hacker managed to crack a so-called Bitcoin wallet that stores credit balances of a crypto-money account? It is certain that a Bitcoin wallet that has been passed around in hacker circles since 2015 has been emptied. The account was relieved of the equivalent of US$1 billion.

Critical security update to Google Chrome 86.0.4240.183

[German]Google has updated the Google Chrome Browser for Windows, macOS and Linux to version 86.0.4240.18 on November 2, 2020. This update closes 10 security holes, whereby one Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability is already exploited.

Pixel 5: Battery display bug confirmed

[German]There is a bug with the new Google Pixel 5: The battery indicator displays random values, which is extremely stupid, because you can no longer determine how far the device is charged / discharged. The cause of this bug is unknown so far, but the Google developers have at least admitted that the bug is known. Besides, a fix is supposed to be coming.
