I don't know if it affects any other readers, but the provider G-HOMA seems to shutting down and discontinuing support for its app for smart sockets, which will become useless as a result. [German]Security researchers from the Trend Micro Zero Day Initiative (ZDI) point to a 0-day vulnerability ( ZDI-CAN-25373) in Windows, which has probably been exploited by 11 state-supported hacker groups from North Korea, Iran, Russia and China since 2017. Microsoft rated the vulnerability in shortcut files as "not sufficiently" critical in September 2024 and rejected a patch.
[German]Microsoft had set an upgrade block for Windows 11 24H2 on systems on which the game Asphalt 8 (Airborne) was installed. The problems now appear to have been resolved, as Microsoft has now lifted this upgrade blocker for Windows 11 24H2 on corresponding systems.
[German]Microsoft recently confirmed that Copilot can be uninstalled on some Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems as a result of the March 2025 updates. Those affected had to reinstall Copilot from the Store. Microsoft now claims to have fixed this bug for Windows.
