It affects installations made with media from October and November 2024. Microsoft also mentions a workaround to avoid the problem.

Of course, it has been known for years that .exe Christmas greetings should not be sent for security reasons. ASUS managed to scare the hell out of its users in 2024. The reader is confronted with the problem of complaints from business partners about emails that have not "arrived". There is a suspicion that Exchange Online may be manipulating the email senders.

[German]Recently, Microsoft acknowledged problems with devices that use the eSCL scan protocol under Windows 11 24H2. This also affects USB scanners that simply cannot be found if they use the eSCL scan protocol. Microsoft claims to have fixed this error. Furthermore, device manufacturer updates should be tested in the event of scanner problems.
[German]The cumulative updates published by Microsoft on December 10, 2024 appear to be causing problems for some Windows 11 users. There is talk of the Start menu no longer responding and other problems. There does not yet seem to be a remedy – and there will be no preview updates for December 2024.

[German]There was a problem with the activation of Microsoft 365 apps. Users are noticing since months that the (Office) apps from are subscription are spontaneously deactivated and can then no longer be used. Microsoft has published a support article about this and wrote that they investigating the issue. On December 20, 2024 they announced, that they rolled out a fix.
