Tip: Windows Update error code 0x8024xxxx list
Sometimes Windows Update download or installation fails with an error code. A lot of update error codes are using the 0x8024xxxx (for instance 0x8024001B, stands for WU_E_SELFUPDATE_IN_PROGRESS). Recently I stumbled upon Microsoft's support document 938205 Windows Update error code list, where a lot of 0x8024xxxx error codes (unfortunately not all) are documented.

Update KB3217877 for Windows Vista/Server 2008

Security Update KB 3178690 crashes Excel 2010
