[German]Another short story for the weekend that is currently making the rounds in the US media. Microsoft apparently annoyed Windows users by asking them why they wanted to quit OneDrive. Microsoft says it was just a test and has now removed this query. But it wasn't the "first test" with an annoying query.
[German]Quick information at the end of the week – as of this morning (CET), November 11, 2023, there appear to be problems accessing Microsoft 365 services. This is said it was related to Europe, but Germany and the UK have been named by Microsoft as affected. The reason was an increase in network traffic, which probably negatively affected DNS queries. Configuration changes should have fixed the problem.
[German]Google has already released updates to Google Chrome Browser 119 in the Stable Channel for Mac, Linux and Windows on November 7, 2023. [German]A short addendum to the release of the Windows 11 2023 Update (23H2). In this context, Microsoft has released both the dynamic update KB5031656 to improve the setup phase and the update KB5031894 for WinRE. The release of these updates was a few days ago (the topic has been lying around with me since then), but I will briefly summarize the information in this post.

[German]Strange development in the area of printer consumables at the manufacturer HP. The fact that ink cartridges from third-party suppliers are blocked by firmware updates is nothing new. I have also discussed ink subscriptions for HP devices here on the blog. The latest twist, which was reported to me by a reader, is that registration with HP is now required to purchase HP toner from a distributor. So to speak authorized buyer, without this label there you can't buy HP toner.
