The developers have released WordPress version 6.2.1 on May 16, 2023. It is a maintenance and security update that fixes 30 bugs. Details can be read in the release notes.
[German]Microsoft has updated its ISO install media for Windows 11 22H2 and Windows 10 22H2 and should now make them available for download. These install images contain the May 2023 security updates – and most importantly, the Secure Boot fix. According to my information, the updated installation media are available via Media Creation Tool as well as in the Visual Studio Subscriptions Center.
[German]I'm bringing up a topic that should have been settled long ago. Microsoft "tortures" its Windows users with the taskbar entry "News and interests". Administrators can disable this feature via group policies. An administrator contacted me the other day because the policy no longer works in his DC environment and suddenly the "News and Interests" entry appears in the taskbar.
[German]A somewhat unpleasant observation that some users and administrators are currently reporting. On some systems with Microsoft 365, the preview of the Outlook app is suddenly installed by Microsoft. I have created a short summary of the situation, which I had already taken up in April 2023.
The developers of HWInfo have released version 7.46 on May 10, 2023. In the new version, various bugs, for example about CPU utilization under Windows 11, a possible crash on AMD Genoa/Bergamo systems or driver compatibilities, have been fixed. The software can be used freely and is more frequently used by computer users who want to know more about the hardware.
