Microsoft Office: Macro execution blocked for security reasons, when accessing Access ACCDB databases via IP address

[German]Recently, a problem was reported to me by Tobias Migge. The problem: Customers or users get "suddenly" the error that macros are blocked for security reasons when accessing backend ACDB databases via IP address, which are located on a server. The whole thing is probably related to the fact that Microsoft has started to block VBA macros for security reasons when files are located on Internet pages. I've rehashed this because there may be others affected.

Windows Defender reports (false positive) Behaviour:Win32/Hive.ZY (Sept. 4, 2022)

Windows[German]Short note for Windows users who are startled by Microsoft Defender with a virus detection on their system on Sunday (Sept. 4, 2022). For a few hours now, the Microsoft virus scanner has been reporting a Behaviour:Win32/Hive.ZY as a detection. However, this is probably a false alarm – could be due to Microsoft Edge – and is currently trending in forums. Addendum: The false positive has been fixed with a new signature file.

Windows 10: Creating a Password Reset Disk won't show the wizzard

Windows[German]Strange bug in Windows 10 in the feature "Create password reset disk". A reader pointed out to me that nothing the wizard isn't displayed when he called that feature. I tried to reproduce the problem on my Windows 10 test system and encountered the same error. I've rehashed it and I'm curious to see if this affects other Windows 10 users.

Microsoft 365 App: Connection issues (since Aug. 17, 2022) due to Tenable security tool?

[German]Since August 17, 2022, Microsoft Cloud users have been suffering from issues when using Microsoft 365 Apps. Users are unable to log in and receive errors. I had already reported in the German blog post Microsoft Cloud-Störungen 17. – 23. und 25. August 2022 about issues with Microsoft 365 desktop apps. Since mid August 2022 users are facing login issues with Microsoft 365 apps. Now there is the clue to the cause: A web account manager plugin that facilitates desktop application authentication in Azure is uninstalled on affected user devices as an unintended side effect of a scan by a Tenable security software.
