[German]Microsoft has announced its plans for Windows 11 25H2, which will be released later this year, on June 27, 2025. Users of Windows 11 24H2 should be able to switch to this new build of the operating system with little effort. It will therefore be a small feature update, which will come with different support periods.
[German]Microsoft has started to deploy the KB5001716 update to machines running Windows 10 version 21H2 and 22H2 over the last few days. The KB5001716 update is an update that refreshes the update components so that the systems can switch to Windows 11 24H2. Here is a brief overview of the situation.

[German]In a long blog post, Microsoft has once again commented on the benefits of Windows 11 in view of the end of Windows 10 support. For companies, the paid ESU program for another three update years is mentioned. And for individual users (consumers), there is a one-year ESU with a (poisoned) free option.
[German]Microsoft has released optional, cumulative (preview) updates for Windows on June 24, 2025. There is currently only one preview update KB5058481 for Windows 10 22H2. These updates contain corrections that can be tested and are then generally rolled out as fixes in the following month.
