Microsoft no longer signs Windows drivers for Process Hacker
[German]Brief information, which is already here with me since August 2021, but which I have not yet addressed in the blog. David Xanatos has pointed out to me that Microsoft is refusing to sign drivers for the new Process Hacker without giving any further reason. The whole thing is addressed on GitHub in this thread. This means that newer versions of this tool (and tools like ProcessExplorer) can no longer be used.

If you use a VPN provider, you have to trust 100% that it is reputable and does not siphon off data or misuse it. So the information here fits like a glove: The former malware distributor Kape Technologies is now the owner of ExpressVPN, CyberGhost, Private Internet Access, Zenmate and a number of VPN "test" websites.

Database with IDs of all Argentines hacked

A hacker took this literally and penetrated the IT network of the Argentine government. He was then able to access the identity card data of the country's entire population from RENAPER (Registro Nacional de las Personas) and stole data. He is now selling the data to private circles.
Windows 10 Update: Fix for Remote Desktop Smartcard Authentication (also YubiKey) issues

Microsoft has announced that the smartcard authentication issue with remote desktop connections has been fixed with the October 2021 updates via a rollback. At the same time, I've seen reports here on the blog that the October 2021 security update for Windows 10 will break YubiKey authentication, which should also be fixed.
Microsoft confirms Windows network printing issue after October 2021 updates
