Edge[German]Microsoft has released a security advisory for the Edge browser as of September 16, 2021, updating the browser to version 93.0.961.52. The update also closed the CVE-2021-30633 vulnerability, which is actively exploited, according to the release notes. The browser should be updated automatically, but can also be downloaded here. Windows 11: Microsoft enforces TPM 2.0 on virtual machines

Windows[German]That's it for Windows 11 – at least with older hardware, if I'm right. If the hardware requirements already caused head shaking and unstoppable enthusiasts were looking for ways to install the operating system on machines that did not meet the requirements, this will now be blocked. In the latest Insider Build, Microsoft makes a TPM 2.0 and secure boot mandatory for virtual machines to run Windows 11.

Bitdefender provides universal REvil decryptor

Security vendor Bitdefender has succeeded in developing a universal REvil decryptor in cooperation with law enforcement agencies. The REvil Decryptor helps with all files that were encrypted by July 13, 2021. The tool is available free of charge.

[German]Microsoft has announced a new Office 2021 (as well as an LTSC version) for the 2nd half of 2021. The LTSC version of Microsoft Office is available now. Patchday Sept. 2021 Review: New PrintNightmare fix, new issues, new desaster?

Windows[German]For months, a number of vulnerabilities in the Windows Print Spooler service, which are summarized under the term PrintNightmare, have existed in all Windows versions. Microsoft has been trying to close the vulnerabilities completely since July 2021 to no avail. New problems occur after every patch. At patchday on September 14, 2021, there was another PrintNightmare fix, but it poses problems again. Microsoft accounts support passwordless login

This should make it possible to log in to Windows, Office or other Microsoft services via the Authenticator app without entering a password. Adobe Acrobat (Reader) DC 21.007.20091

[German]Adobe has released a security update for Adobe Acrobat (Reader) DC to version 21.005.20091 on September 14, 2021, which is intended to patch vulnerabilities considered critical and important according to APSB21-55.
