Stop - Pixabay[German]March 10, 2025 was probably not such a stress-free day for the supporters at Microsoft and X.com. Both the successor to the former Twitter, x.com, was down for hours (there is said to have been a DDoS attack). Microsoft's cloud services also still seem to be experiencing disruptions, as readers have reported. However, I was unable to react earlier as I was out and about all day – so I didn't notice any of the disruptions.

OneDrive: Has the shortcut bug been fixed?

[German]OneDrive users have been suffering for months from the fact that integrated folders are suddenly only displayed as shortcuts. It's probably a bug, as I found out. Now a person affected has told me that the shortcut has been turned back into a folder. I would be interested to know whether this observation can be confirmed by other readers.

Over 37,000 VMware ESXi servers vulnerable via CVE-2025-22224

VMWare by Broadcom: Next fail with training credits

[German]A blog reader contacted me by e-mail and reported on the latest fail of VMware by Broadcom. There were hurdles when booking a follow-up license, but they could be overcome. However, unneeded services had to be included, which were agreed in the contract as training services. At the end of the day, however, the user had to realize that the credits booked for training courses were worthless because the training companies could no longer bill them to VMware by Broadcom.

Outlook also disrupted on March 6, 2025

[German]Since six days (March 1, 2025), Microsoft's cloud services have been rumbling. Outlook, the Microsoft 365 services and Exchange Online have been disrupted again and again. As of March 6, 2025, I have received further reports from readers that Outlook.com is down and can also see this in error messages on the Android smartphone, where Thunderbird cannot reach a test mailbox at outlook.com. However, Microsoft states that only iOS is affected.

In 2027, mainstream support for the SAP ECC ERP system will expire, and in 2030 the software will also be removed from extended support. Customers will have to switch to s4/Hana, but there are not enough consultants and specialists to manage the migration of existing SAP ECC ERP systems to s4/Hana.
