These updates contain corrections that can be tested and are then generally rolled out as fixes in the following month. [German]Brief information for users who sign in to services online with Microsoft accounts. From February 2025, Microsoft wants to keep users signed in when they leave the service. This could become a problem if multiple users or accounts are used and there is no logout.
[German]The January 2025 security updates can cause audio problems in several Windows versions (clients and servers). Microsoft has just documented this for Windows 11 24H2, Windows 10 22H2, Windows Server 2019, and Windows Server 2016. The updates mainly affect USB 1.0 audio units in special environments.
[German]I am posting the observation of a German blog reader also here in the blog, which relates to Remote Desktop Protocol sessions (RDP sessions) under Windows 11 24H2. In the reader's environment, there are massive problems with these RDP sessions hanging for users in certain scenarios. But it doesn't seem to be an isolated case, as I have seen.
[German]An administrator recently pointed out a very unpleasant finding to me. The Hyper-V virtualization solution promoted by Microsoft can hardly be used in certain scenarios (on AMD and Intel CPUs) to run multiple virtual machines under Windows 11 24H2 or Windows Server 2025. The reason for this is that the operating system does not provide any performance data and the scheduler cannot distribute the resources to the VMs properly.
