Windows 10 Oktober 2018 Update is distributed automatically

Microsoft has now begun to automatically distribute the Windows 10 October 2018 Update (Version 1809) to all computers that are suitable for this feature update. On March 20, 2019, Microsoft has updated KB article 4028685 to announce that Windows 10 will automatically download the October 2018 update to appropriate devices when the automatic updates are enabled in the Windows Update settings. Windows 10: Insider Preview 18362 (19H1) in Fast Ring

Microsoft also released the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18362 in Fast Ring on 20.3.2019. The development branch 19H1 will probably end in April 2019 as Windows 10 V1903. The announcement was made in the Windows Blog, where also the bugs fixed in this build are listed. There are no new features in this build, but some bugs that have not yet been fixed are listed in the blog post.

Windows 10: Insider Preview Build 18860.1001 (Skip Ahead)

Microsoft published the Windows 10 Insider Previews Build 18860.1001 in the Skip Ahead Ring on 20.3.2019. SCEP/MSE/Defender failed worldwide for hours due to a bad signatur file v1.289.1521.0 (03/19/2019)

[German]On March 19, 2019, Microsoft had a worldwide issue for several hours with its antivirus solutions (Windows Defender, Microsoft Security Essentials, System Center Endpoint Protection). Especially the failure of System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP) hit enterprise customers hard. The reason: The signature definition 1.289.1521.0 (and 1.289.1512.0) caused MsMpEng.exe to crash. Microsoft has fixed this bug in the meantime.

Windows 10: Insider Preview 18356.16 (19H1) in Slow Ring

A few days ago Microsoft released the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18356 in Fast Ring (see Windows 10: Insider Preview 18356 in Fast Ring). As of March 15, 2019, this build was released as Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18356.1 in the Slow Ring according to this addendum in the Windows Blog. Now Microsoft has released another cumulative update KB4494123 for this build, which lifts the build to 18356.16. The purpose of this 'bigger' update is to test a test of the service pipeline with a bigger update. At the same time there was the announcement that an Insider Preview Build 18356.1 for Windows Server vNext was released.
