[German]The developers of Thunderbird have released on 19, January 2023 another update of the e-mail client to version 102.7.0 . It is a bug-fix update that is supposed to fix some issues. The client is not supposed to update automatically because of conflicts with Microsoft 365 business accounts.
[German]Microsoft has released the Edge browser to the stable channel at version 109.0.1518.61 on January 19, 2023. One vulnerability is fixed. Feedback from readers confirms that the umlaut printing issue has been fixed too. [German]Mozilla's developers have released the versions 109.0 and 102.7.0 ESR of the Firefox browser on January 17, 2023. The ESR versions are maintenance updates that are intended to fix bugs. Administrators should make sure that their Windows servers acting as domain controllers are up to date with the latest patches. This is because two serious vulnerabilities in the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) have been closed with the January 2023 updates.
[German]Some Microsoft Edge users are experiencing massive printing issues with the 109 development branch. For example, quick printing no longer works for some users. For other users, the printing process crashes. After investigations, it became obvious, that the Edge 109 on Windows has printing issues, when the printer name contains special characters such as German umlauts.
