[German]End of the two VMware products: Workstation Player and Fusion Player, which were withdrawn from sale at the end of April 2024. Customers can use VMware Workstation as a replacement. Furthermore, there was brief confusion because security advisories for VMware products can now be found in the Broadcom support area, which was only accessible after registration. However, this plan has been dropped and the security information can now be accessed freely.

FSLogix 2210 Hotfix 4 announced for 14. May 2024

Update[German]An  update to FSLogix 2210 Hotfix 4 is scheduled for mid-May 2024. This update should raise hopes among administrators who have been struggling with problems with the new Microsoft Teams and possibly also Citrix VDI. In accordance with Microsoft's "Patch Tuesday" calendar, FSLogix 2210 Hotfix 4 will be available for download on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, and will also be pre-installed on Windows 10 and Windows 11 multi-session Azure images.

Broadcom leaks email-addresses from VMware administrators; AWS is out as a VMware customer, relief for cloud customers

Broadcom made a mistake and, as the company had to admit, they sent the e-mails of administrators at customer sites around the world for everyone to see. And at VMware by Broadcom, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has probably left as a major customer. So to round off the week, here's a brief summary of information that I've already had for a few days.

Dell breached, customer data stolen (2024)

Sicherheit (Pexels, allgemeine Nutzung)[German]Dell has informed customers by email that there has been a data leak (a hack). A database was accessed in which customer data such as name and address, as well as the hardware ordered from Dell, is stored. Dell sees the incident as "less serious", especially as no financial data was stolen. But the data leak affects millions of Dell customers who were registered there. Addendum: And the data was traded in a hacker forum, although the post there has probably since been deleted.

Does Intune store on-premises CA certificates permanently in the cloud?

It looks like Intune is permanently storing the CA certificates generated for on-premises systems in the cloud. Another Intune administrator pointed me to the relevant post on reddit.com. The question is whether this can be confirmed.
