Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25145 supports LAPS

Windows[German]Microsoft has released a new Windows 11 Insider Preview build 25145 in the Dev Channel as of June 22, 2022 – the announcement can be found on the Windows blog. This build includes some new features, including an update for Narrator Braille driver support, OneDrive storage warning and subscription management in Settings, and the Local Administrator Password (LAPS) solution. In addition, the issue of Surface Pro X devices displaying a black screen when they enter sleep mode has also been fixed.

Chrome 103.0.5060.53

Chrome[German]Google has released the Google Chrome 103.0.5060.53 update for Windows and Mac on the desktop in the stable channel as of June 21, 2022. The security update closes 14 vulnerabilities (1 critical). In addition, there is the 102.0.5005.134 in the Extended Stable Channel.

Security researcher finds vulnerability in Jacuzzi "SMARTTUB®" portal

Sicherheit (Pexels, allgemeine Nutzung)[German]Jacuzzi whirlpools are also widespread. Some models are equipped with a SMARTTUB® system and can be managed remotely via smartphone (Android, iPhone). A user who had bought such a model wondered about an error in the access management portal during commissioning. During his investigation, he came across a vulnerability that revealed the access data of other users. The manufacturer's response to a report was anything but exhilarating.

Phishing gang responsible for millions in losses busted up by Europol (June 21, 2022)

Europol has managed to dismantle a phishing gang responsible for millions in damages. The suspects sent emails and text messages with phishing links to fake banking websites. In an internationally coordinated operation, the fraudsters were arrested by police in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Stop - Pixabay[German]Somehow, cloud services seem to be experiencing problems today. The disruption to Microsoft cloud services reported in the article Office 365: Connect issues with mail and SharePoint since 08:00 a.m. (UTC) (June 21, 2022) seems to be slowly dissolving after countermeasures by the technicians. In exchange, a message from the CloudFlare service just came under my eyes, also reporting a disruption for June 21, 2022.

Customers who want to check their email via this Microsoft cloud service are running into problems today, June 21, 2022, since about 10:00 am. SharePoint also seems to be affected by the cloud disruption.

DeadBold- and eCh0raix ransomware attacks on QNAP NAS (June 2022)

This is where drives are encrypted. In addition, QNAP has recently published a security notice that warns against attacks of the DeadBold ransomware on outdated versions of QTS 4.x.

The sole purpose is to fix the sign-in issues with Azure AD and Microsoft 365 services on Windows 11 described here on the blog in the post Sign-in issues with Azure AD and Microsoft 365 services since June 2022 update. It's important to note that this fix only applies to devices with ARM processors.
