[German]Microsoft has made the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) available for Windows 11 – currently as a preview – as a download from the Microsoft Store. The WSL will be removed as an optional component from Windows 11 itself. This step should allow updates to be rolled out more quickly. In addition, the whole thing decouples WSL from the actual operating system. In the blog post Windows 11: Known issues (October 5, 2021), I had already reported about three problems admitted by Microsoft. Among other things, Virtualbox is not compatible.
