[German]My understanding was that Microsoft wanted to integrate the Adobe Acrobat PDF engine into the Edge browser instead of its own renderer. I had even assumed that this was already the case. Now a reader informed me at the beginning of March 2024 that this integration had been postponed until summer 2024. Later other German administrators confirmed issues with Securepoint Antivirus, and the vendor has withdrawn the latest "update" of his security software.
[German]Broadcom President and CEO Hock Tan was still boasting to investors that the license conversion strategy at VMware would see new sales increases every quarter by the end of the year. Now it looks as if it is slowly dawning on those responsible at Broadcom that they have caused massive annoyance among VMware customers with their "crowbar policy" and that the "cash register ringing" by switching licensing to cloud and subscription solutions may not work out quite as well as the business leaders had planned. And a reader has pointed out licensing oddities at VMware to me.

It affects different versions of Outlook and he is wondering whether other readers can observe and confirm this. I'm wondering if it could be related to the updates for Office around March 12, 2024. Google plans to hold its developer conference Google I/O on May 14, 2024, as announced here. The agenda is still largely empty, but there will be over 100 sessions. Neowin.net writes here that Google I/O 2024 will largely be an online-only event. While there will be a "small live audience", most people will have to live stream the keynote as well as the other sessions and panels.

[German]Microsoft has released another update of the Edge (Chromium) browser to version 122.0.2365.92 in the stable channel on March 14, 2024. It is a security and maintenance update that fixes bugs ("Fixed various bugs and performance issues.). Vulnerabilities have also been closed (see). At deskmodder.de they point out a fourth vulnerability – probably patched in the Chromium browser.
