[German]It's a rather crude case that German blog reader Thomas has just put "on the table" for me. There was a need to change the computer running Windows – I don't know the details. Following this action, the user found that he could no longer access his OneDrive account. Microsoft denies access. Even a registration from Microsoft is no longer possible, because the account is rejected.The user is now wondering where Microsoft once again "took a wrong turn" and whether this can have to do with a strange "security incident" a few days ago.

Parallels Desktop: Authorizes Windows 11 on Mac M1 processors

Microsoft has authorized Arm versions of Windows 11 Pro and Enterprise for the Mac with Apple silicon for use in a virtual machine hosted with Parallels Desktop for Mac. IT administrators can now allow their users to run Windows 11 on Arm in Parallels Desktop Windows 11 Pro and Enterprise on Mac with M-Series chips. Windows Server 20212 R2 (Essentials): Feb. 2023 updates drops install error 0x800F0922

Windows[German]I got several reports from administrators that the February 2023 security updates to Windows Server 20212 R2 (and Windows 8.1) are causing issues and the installation is aborting with error 0x800F0922. With Windows 8.1 it is clear, because of the end of support. But with Windows Server 20212 R2, administrators may thank Microsoft's AI-powered Extended Support update check. I'll just thread together some information I have now here.

EdgeThe "banana software matures at the customer". Microsoft raised the Edge browser in the Stable Channel to version 110.0.1587.49 on February 16, 2023 (they are shipping bug fixes). On February 17, 2023, Edge was raised to version 110.0.1587.50 in the Stable Channel. According to the release notes, the maintenance update is for "Fixed various bugs and performance issues for Stable and Extended Stable release."

Citrix Security Updates (Feb. 2023) and Issues with the Citrix App

Citrix has issued a security bulletin for the vulnerabilities CVE-2023-24484 and CVE-2023-24485 in the Citrix Workspace App for Windows. So administrators using the Workspace app should update. Windows: Update installation errors (Feb. 2023)

Windows[German]Windows 11 users reported an "update installation jam" on Microsoft Answers – tens of updates were listed, but could not be installed. Some received the installation error 0x80070103. This error seems to have been corrected by Microsoft on its update servers. In addition, Windows Server 2012 R2 users are receiving update installation error 0x800F0922. Google Chrome Version 110.0.5481.104

ChromeGoogle has released updates to Google Chrome Browser 110 in the Stable Channel for Windows (110.0.5481.104) as of February 16, 2023 (see this entry on the Google blog). There are no details about fixes. In the Extended Stable Channel, version 110.0.5481.104 is scheduled to be rolled out in the coming weeks. Thanks to Robert for the tip.
