Excel and the Power Query vulnerability

[German]Security researchers pointed out a few days ago a potential vulnerability in Microsoft Excel Power Query add-in that could allow a new attack vector. Office security mechanisms can be bypassed and the user does not need to actively intervene to launch the attack. Microsoft does not want to bring a fix, but there are workarounds. Windows Phone 8.x: Apps no longer updatable

Small reminder for users of Windows Phone 8.x devices: Tomorrow, July 1, 2019, Microsoft will cut off the possibility for app developers to post updates to these apps in the store (see Store Apps for Windows 8.x – important EOL dates). So you won't get any more app updates. (via)

Surfaces Book 2: Issues with Windows 10 V1903 and Nvidia

[German]One should think that owners of a Microsoft Surface Book 2 can easily upgrade to the Windows 10 May 2019 Update (Version 1903). After all, Microsoft should know its hardware in detail.
