QueueJumper: Patch critical RCE vulnerability in MSMQ service

Windows[German]A remote code execution vulnerability CVE-2023-21554 exists in the Microsoft Message Queuing service (MSMQ), which has been rated critical with a CVEv3 score of 9.8. Microsoft has released security updates for Windows clients and servers on April 11, 2023, that also address this vulnerability. Those who have not yet updated their systems should apply the patch promptly, or at least mitigate the vulnerability.

Microsoft 365: Email and calendar issues in Outlook 2303 (Build 16227.20212) confirmed

Affinity forums hacked (April 6, 2023)

It seems that the account of an administrator was compromised, so that the attacker(s) could gain access to the list of members of the forums. In the process, the email addresses associated with the accounts were likely captured, as well as the IP addresses of the forum users.

Google Chrome 112.0.5615.121 / Edge 112.0.1722.48

Chrome[English]Google has released unscheduled updates to Google Chrome Browser 112 in the Extended and Stable channels for Mac, Linux and Windows as of April 14, 2023. Microsoft has also update the Edge browser version 112. They are security updates that fix a vulnerability.

Western Digital hack: Attackers stole 10 terabytes, demand ransom

Cyber attack on Rheinmetall Group (April 2023) – civil branches affected

This is already the second attack within a few months – this time probably successful. The attack has been known since Friday, April 14, 2023, although few details have become public. A prosecutor's office has launched an investigation. Exactly how serious this attack, which could be related to the defense company's activities and also affects subsidiaries such as the automotive supplier Kolbenschmidt in Neckarsulm, is currently unknown.
