REvil cyber gang suspends activities after hijacking Tor sites

The background for the renewed exit is probably the fact that individual Tor nodes have probably been taken over. Thus, the REvil cyber gang once again remains in the headlines, after it recently became known that the gang also ripped off and booted out its own partners.

Windows 11: Parallels 17.1 supports virtual TPM 2.0 on Mac

Windows[German]Microsoft does not support Windows 11 on Mac OS on their M1 processors and demands TPM 2.0 for virtual machines as well. Now the manufacturer Parallels has reacted and provides Parallels Desktop 17.1. This virtualization software also supports virtual TPM 2.0, so Windows 11 should be supported in this environment.

At the Chinese Tianfu Cup 2021, which is currently (Oct. 16./17. 2021) underway, there was a continuous stream of successful hacks. Among other things, Microsoft Exchange 2019 was hacked via a 0-day exploit – and even the iPhone with iOS 15 was not safe from the hackers.

Windows 11: Microsoft optimizes the size of update packages

Windows[German]In October 2021, Windows 11 users received the first cumulative update for this operating system. Microsoft apparently encounters a problem with the size of its update packages, because especially people with a lack of high-speed Internet are not very enthusiastic about the size of the download. Therefore, Microsoft has optimized the size of the update packages and was able to reduce them by up to 40%.

Windows 11 issues with AMD: more performance lost with Update KB5006674, fix with Update KB5006746

Windows[German]Owners of AMD hardware that rely on Windows 11 currently have a difficult time. Already when the operating system was released, there was a warning that there would be performance losses on AMD CPUs. With the cumulative update KB5006674 from October 12, 2021, there was then a further deterioration. However, updates with fixes should come next week – currently Microsoft is already testing the update KB5006746 with insiders.

IconGate: Windows 11, the emojis and Microsoft's marketing
